Does the platform provide suggestions for curriculum planning?
Yes. POGO Progress supports curriculum planning by helping you upload your curriculum, track coverage and attainment, identify gaps, and use that information to plan next steps. It does this with the use of heat maps and data bars to identify areas of concern and plan interventions. It does not offer a fully-automated lesson planner.
What POGO Progress offers for curriculum planning
- POGO’s Curriculum Performance module allows schools to upload and manage their own curricula — whether national or bespoke.
- It supports tracking pupil attainment against those curriculum outcomes (so you see how well students are achieving each objective).
- It includes a “gap analysis” function: you can identify where outcomes are not being met, or where coverage is lacking.
- It gives Data-driven planning and target-setting — meaning the tracking and analysis help inform which areas to plan for, when to intervene, and where resources should go.
- The system also gives “real-time curriculum coverage insights” so you can monitor teaching coverage of objectives and plan accordingly.
So, in practical terms, you can use POGO Progress to:
- Build or upload your curriculum map (objectives, strands, years/terms)
- Monitor which objectives have been covered and which haven’t
- See how pupils are performing against those objectives
- Use that data to plan next steps (which objectives to teach, re-teach, intervene on) and set targets for pupils/cohorts
