Can we export reports in various formats (PDF, Excel, etc)?
School and student reports export as PDFs.
Assessment data can be exported as spreadsheets.
In most cases POGO Progress (or school data/reporting systems generally) allows you to export reports in various formats. Whether you can and what formats depend on your POGO configuration, permissions, and modules.
What formats are typically supported
Here are common export formats that reporting systems often offer:
- PDF — for polished, print-ready versions of reports
- Excel / XLSX / CSV — for data analysis, sharing, importing into spreadsheets
- Word / DOCX — less common, but sometimes available for narrative reports
- Print / browser “Print to PDF” — exporting via print function
- Raw / data files — for system integrations (if POGO supports it)
How to check if you can export in POGO
Because POGO’s documentation (publicly accessible) doesn’t clearly state all export options, here are steps to find out in your school’s setup:
-
Log in with a role that has export/reporting rights (e.g. admin, data lead).
Go to the Reports / Reporting / Assessment Performance / Parent Reports section in POGO.
In a report view or preview, look for buttons or menu options such as:
- “Export”
- Icons: PDF, Excel, Export to CSV
- “Print” or “Download”
- Three-dot menu (⋮) or “More options”
- When clicking “Export”, see which formats are listed (PDF / Excel / etc).
- Also check settings / user permissions — sometimes export is disabled for non-admin users.
Things that might stop export or restrict formats
- Permission limitations — only admins or certain roles can export.
- Report type — some reports (e.g. graphical dashboards) may only be exported as PDF or image, not full data.
- Module / licence — your POGO package may not include export of all report types.
- Browser / technical issues — sometimes the export fails because of browser settings or pop-up blockers.
- Data size / performance — for large cohorts, some formats (Excel) may time out or be disabled.
